RESPONSIBILITIES Kforce is seeking qualified IT Technical Service Manager candidates for a permanent role with a growing services company located in the greater Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (PA) area. This role will be responsible for all leadership activities around the Data Center and infrastructure environments - System Administration, Telecommunication Administration, Network Administration and Computer Operations. Responsibilities Manages data center, server and network administration including hiring and retaining staff, team building, developing job descriptions, maintaining work schedules, performance appraisals, organizing staff for optimum effectiveness, establishing staff training and development programs Manages the day-to-day computer operations at the resource center(s) and practice locations Establishes meaningful, quantitative measurements and goals for data center operations, network, server, and systems performance to meet consistent goals Senior architect and systems architecture mentor to increase the overall team's knowledge Ensures that system back-up and disaster recovery procedures are in place and executed for all critical systems Manages vendor supported wide area network for all practices and resource centers Maintains offsite storage of system back-ups including procedures for storage and retrieval Coordinates hardware, operating system upgrades and patch installation, system outages, and maintenance schedules with vendors, other IT leaders Implements procedures to monitor and ensure that online systems are performing optimally Establishes system service level agreements with business departments to ensure system availability Publishes monthly and quarterly metrics on system utilization to deliver capacity planning Maintains operational documentation necessary to operate all systems, including execution schedules, job descriptions, flow charts and escalation procedures REQUIREMENTS 5-10 years computer operations, server, and network leadership experience in a healthcare environment Advanced experienced with windows operations, network, server, SAN, VMware and data communication operations Experience in cloud architectures (i.e. AWS, Azure, Co-Located, Privet Cloud) Ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing, in a clear, concise and professional manner Works effectively under pressure, can manage multiple priorities simultaneously and can work without direct supervision Effective leader, team builder and business partner Our premier telecommunications client currently provides service to over 25 million customers across more than 40 states.
