The Tax Supervisor reports directly to the Senior Tax Manager. The Tax Supervisor is expected to manage existing client relationships, ensure appropriate and efficient staffing for the existing client base and build new client relationships through networking, referrals and targeted marketing efforts.Assists Senior Tax Manager with budget and cost controls, analyzes and interprets financial data and recommends changes to improve systems and financial performance. Works with small business clients to improve underlying financial reporting practices and to prepare financial statements.



  1. Review/prepare federal, state and local tax returns for LLCs, SMLLCs, sole proprietors, partnerships, S-Corps, C-Corps, and Nonprofit corporations as well as the returns of owners
  2. Review individual tax returns prepared by tax accountants and assistant accountants
  3. Day-to-day operational problem solving
  4. Work on special projects as needed


  1. Maintain, analyze, and summarize general ledger accounts
  2. Prepare or supervise preparation of financial statements
  3. Oversee financial statement reviews and compilations
  4. Issue financial statements
  5. Coordinate and assist clients with their year-end audits
  6. Develops accounting policies and procedures
  7. Assist clients with Financial analysis, accounting practices and internal and external financial reports


  1. Oversee payroll preparation by assistant accountants to ensure timely and accurate filings in advance of deadlines and assist as necessary.


  1. Manage office work flow
  2. Assist in monitoring resource usage and expenses of company in collaboration with other controllers and senior management
  3. Work with management to create budgets
  4. Supervise exempt and non-exempt accounting staff
  5. Mentor staff as needed
  6. Complete and participates in staff evaluations and job appraisals
  7. Periodically update senior management on results
  8. Monitor and enhance client profitability
  9. Monthly and periodic staff meetings
  10. Assist with business development activities - build new and maintain existing vendor and client relationships

1.Possesses Act 33 and 34 Clearances

2.Has a valid Pennsylvania motor vehicle license, access to a personal vehicle, and has maximum auto insurance on an employee driven vehicle

3.Proficient with Microsoft office, QuickBooks, and an industry known tax software

4.Ability to work independently

5.Full-time position with overtime as necessary during periods of peak workload, or as needed to fulfill client and company responsibilities.


Minimum of a Bachelor s Degree in Accounting. CPA or Enrolled Agent preferred. Must have at least 5-8 years relevant work experience. Must be current with regulations and compliance issues. Strong supervisory skills required.
