Packaging Technician/Inventory Management - New Jersey. The role of the Packaging Technician/Inventory Management is to provide support in the identification and implementation of new technology solutions for shipment of clinical supplies. The incumbent in this position is accountable for designing thermal testing of shippers and analyze results of testing. The incumbent is also accountable for tracking controlled temperature shippers supporting clinical teams, managing the inventory control process and implementing strategy of single-use shipper containers. The incumbent will interface with pharmaceutical client teams, Finance teams, manufacturers and vendors for development of packaging technology solutions and will coordinate, manage and track Cold Chain inventory to and from internal and external global locations. Responsibilities of the Packaging Technician: Thermal Qualification / Engineering Studies: Develop and execute thermal qualification protocols for controlled temperature shippers and microenvironments. Operate and maintain data acquisition systems and validation testing instruments including the Kaye Validator and wireless data loggers. Explore new packaging technologies and monitoring devices that improve organization's ability to deliver products to patients around the world. Plan and execute thermal mapping studies for controlled temperature shippers. Controlled Temperature Shipper Inventory Management, Forecasting and Optimization: Use vendor management software to track current inventory, useful life, types of shipper. Optimizing inventory, asset and safety stock management. Preparation of forecasts and reports. Partner with distribution planning and logistics to forecast demand. Partner with finance team and provide analytics. Experience/Skills
1-3 years experience supporting scientific technical operations Previous experience with thermal testing in GEK validation using Kaye Validator preferred Previous experience with global inventory management (any industry) environment preferred Experience with cold chain systems desired Ability to drive process, analyze trends, make assessments and communicate strategy recommendations to internal groups Good Project Management and Time Management skills required Effective communication skills Computer systems experience
