The Product Sales Specialist drives sales revenue and market development of BIM 360 products, including existing, newly developed or those attained through acquisitions. These can be sold to customers and prospects via business development activities with partners in the Southern region of the United States. The role is responsible for establishing BIM 360 products in the Autodesk portfolio, scaling partners' sales capabilities, growing the business within the territory and fulfilling strategic objectives of the product line in order to achieve yearly financial targets and business objectives. Success in the role will be primarily measured by attainment of annual quota, forecast accuracy, and growth/success of construction-specialized VAR partners in selling BIM 360.
What youll sell in this role:
BIM 360 construction management software enables almost anytime, anywhere access to project data throughout the building construction lifecycle. BIM 360 empowers those in the field to better anticipate and act, and those in the back office to optimize and manage all aspects of construction performance. BIM 360 enables its customers to reduce waste, reduce risk and accelerate project delivery.
Responsibilities Create and execute a business plan which includes target customer segments, resources, and which solves business needs for the AEC Southern Territory Region Plan and execute selling strategies in order to grow the revenue base and/or adoption cycle for BIM 360 products and form strong relationships with customers, partners, and other internal sales teams Attend regular customer/partner meetings, events, and training (internal & external) Provide regular feedback to the product, industry & strategic marketing teams for BIM 360 Deliver an accurate monthly & quarterly forecast of business in the AEC Southern Territory region, as required by management This is an individual-contributor sales position that requires a high-activity sales person with a HUNTER mentality Hunt new deals and drive indirect sales opportunities with internal Autodesk sales teams and Construction-specialized VAR partners in order to build, maintain & grow opportunity pipeline within the AEC Southern Territory Region Collaborate with marketing team, run/attend events in line with company growth strategies, become familiar with sales promotions, and provide guidance on business planning on an ongoing basis Act as a representative of Autodesk, give presentations to client groups Keep up-to-date with market trends and new developments utilizing information for business improvement Utilize and refine sales collateral provided by technical marketing to develop effective and repeatable sales plays that lead to increased adoption of BIM 360 and associated products Determine positioning, identify business requirements, and utilize relevant forums and associations to increase awareness of BIM 360 and Autodesk Construction solutions
Minimum Qualifications Minimum of 5 years prior outside sales experience identifying, selling and closing net new business at the large business or enterprise level Minimum of 3 years quota-carrying role with a demonstrated track record of success: consistently exceeding quota Previous experience selling complex technology solutions to Construction Professionals, Construction Management, Building Owners, Architects or Project Engineers or similar Exceptional ability to demonstrate the BIM 360 apps Previous experience with complex IOS apps sales desired but not required Previous experience using Salesforce.com Sound business acumen Able to travel 75% within your assigned territory. Access to major airport Previous experience accurately forecasting and reporting on territory /account activity Ability to work independently in a structured, disciplined sales environment
Preferred Qualifications Education Level: Bachelor's Degree, 4-year College/University degree or equivalent experience preferred Field of Study: Information Technology, Engineering, Construction Management, Sales/Marketing, or similar Formal training in consultative sales techniques Experience with a sales methodology (TAS) and CRM solution is advantageous Knowledge of vertical construction marketplace and business processes required Knowledge of Autodesk BIM solutions, including BIM 360, a plus Strong history of being a Top Performer in a Hunter Sales role Proficiency with Salesforce CRM a plus
